Cezanne

In general, they can be grown in any climate zone, but in colder climates, they need to be lifted up and stored in a dry place.

They can be grown in containers or directly in the ground, and benefit from regular fertilization with a balanced fertilizer. Cezanne dahlias are tender perennials and absolutely not hardy. In areas with mild winters, such as USDA zone 8 or higher, you can leave Cezanne dahlias in the ground over winter as long as the soil doesn't freeze. To protect the tubers, add a layer of mulch to the soil around the base of the plants to insulate them against cold temperatures.

However, if you live in an area with harsh winters, it's recommended to dig up the tubers and store them indoors until the following spring. Additionally, make sure to cut back the foliage after the first frost to promote healthy growth the following season.

The Cezanne dahlia is a smaller dahlia, so it won't have that showy effect in your garden as the taller varieties. Cezanne would be perfect for in front of the border or in pots.
