General product information
It's best to plant your bulbs soon after you receive them. If you can't, then open the bags to admit air and place them in a cool, well-ventilated room with a temperaure of about 60° degrees F.
Pick a sunny location to plant your bulbs. Dutch bulbs will flourish in almost any type of soil, provided it is well drained and reasonably well cultivated. Very heavy, as well as light, sandy oil can be improved by forking in some compost. Soil preparation is a key factor to good growth of your flowers.
Bulbs should be set, pointed end up. Variations in depth depend on the type of soil. A good rule of thumb is the ligther the soil, the deeper the planting. Always be sure the bulb rests firmly on the bottom of the hole. An air pocket under the bulb will lead to trouble. A light dusting of bone meal mixed into the soil, during planting, is encouraged.
